Harold E. Allen, 69 of Evansville, IN, formerly of Bloomington, IL, passed away 3:16 Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Bay Medical Center, Panama City, FL.

His masonic service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL with his funeral service to follow Rev. Steve Evans will be officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington, IL with military rites accorded by the Bloomington -Normal American Legion Honor Guard. Visitation will be 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. The family suggests memorials be made to any veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.

Harold was born September 18, 1947 in Bloomington, IL the son of Harold and Mary Welsh Allen. He married Diana W. Hansen on December 19, 1970 in Ridgeway, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two Children, Michele Allen, Evansville ,IN; Harold T. Allen, Evansville, IN; two grandchildren, Joshua Allen Todd, and Jazlyn L. Allen. one sister, Helen Mae (Wayne) Dunn, Washington, MO; Aunt, Joanne (Jimmy) Dolittle, Louisville, KY. Harold is preceded in death by his parents.

Harold served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a disabled war veteran. Harold was a Mason. Harold was a tool room mechanic for Crane Naval Weapons Support Center, Crane Indiana for 25 years. He was a loving husband and father. He will be missed by all who knew.
